Great place for filming. Super clean and looks exactly like the pictures. Plenty of parking. Our cast & crew was 7 people so there was a lot of space to get what we needed. We weren't able to get in until 30 minutes after our booking started. However, the host was gracious enough to extend our time to make up for it. We would definitely book this place again.

Choosing the Right Type of Location for a Garden Wedding in Atlanta

If you're hosting a garden wedding, you can make it rustic or chic depending on your preferences. Here's a rundown of some of the best outdoor wedding spots you can find on Giggster's 181 incredible venue listings.

Houses – Stylish Indoor and Outdoor Celebrations. Booking an Atlanta home with glamorous and comfortable interiors ensures an indoor space in case of inclement weather. Many homes have on-site gardens for those breathtaking sunset ceremonies.

Backyards – Charming Receptions. If you want a fuss-free style, choose a minimalist backyard space. You can dress it up with furniture and decor, like fairy lights and colorful balloon arches. Get inspired by beautiful venues that hold events like weddings, such as the Cator Woolford Gardens in Druid Hills.

Rooftop Gardens – Unique Events. If you're looking for a distinctive space for your wedding reception, rent a rooftop with greenery to add warmth to the venue. Choose one with stunning skyline views as the backdrop to your event and amenities like sound systems that'll enhance the evening atmosphere with music.

Farms – Rustic Parties. Head to a farm or ranch in Atlanta that provides beautiful grounds filled with nature and animals. Set up a DIY chapel or reception area with a canopy that draws inspiration from the Piedmont Garden Tent wedding venue.

Pools – Laid-Back Weddings. If you want to skip anything too formal or sophisticated in favor of a dream outdoor wedding, make a splash with a swimming pool venue. You and your guests can celebrate by relaxing under a gazebo or enjoying a live band performance.

How to Plan a Garden Wedding in Atlanta

You want to plan a dream wedding filled with beauty and unforgettable experiences, so search for amazing venues on Giggster's 181 memorable event space listings, then consider other planning tips.

Embrace the Golden Hour – If you want to get the best lighting for your outdoor wedding, it's worth booking a venue during the golden hour. This is about an hour before sunset, when the natural light is the most flattering. Capture the beautiful moment with timeless photos!

Choose Heat-Proof Foods – Whether you choose catering or you want to make DIY foods for your wedding, seasonal and fresh foods are a great match for outdoor weddings. Remember to choose foods that hold well during hot weather, like salads, grilled meats, and macarons or shortbread for dessert.

Work with the Natural Elements – When planning the layout for your wedding, use what's already present in the garden. For example, a natural archway of trees could be the perfect spot for a ceremony, while hedges can act as a natural divider between different party activities.

Keep Bugs at Bay – Atlanta summers are filled with bugs, so keep them away from your celebration. Give your guests bug-repellent spray to help them stay comfortable or place citronella candles around the venue—they work double duty as decor!

Choose a Quiet Location – Being outside can hamper the acoustics of your outdoor wedding. Test the sound equipment before your special day and try to find a serene venue that doesn't have loud noises, such as traffic or rushing water. You don't want your guests to struggle to hear the heartfelt speeches.

How to Save Money on Your Garden Wedding in Atlanta

Everyone knows that weddings are expensive, but you don't have to spend lots of money when creating an incredible party in a garden. Here's how to avoid sky-high expenses while providing your guests with excellent service.

Choose a relaxed dining style.

Maybe you love food trucks or picnics. Of course, you can opt for these instead of a formal sit-down lunch or dinner! Make the wedding menu more meaningful by including dishes with local, seasonal, and healthy ingredients.

Be creative with the seating options.

Renting furniture can be expensive, especially for large gatherings. Be creative with the seating you provide, such as with charming benches, mix-and-match chairs, and even hay bales for farm weddings. Or, choose a venue that provides enough seating to accommodate your guests.

Have welcome gifts instead of party favors.

Instead of giving your guests wedding favors they can leave with, give them welcome gifts that are a part of your celebration, such as delicious signature cocktails. It's a great way to provide memorable experiences without spending too much money.

Celebrate with a brunch wedding.

Daytime weddings can cut your costs because you don't have to serve as much alcohol or consider additional lighting on sunny days. Plus, with the pretty sunshine over the blooms and trees, you'll have a picturesque setting with no effort on your part.
